The moment when you kick yourself for asking for snow... and realize everyone else has the same idea to go to the spa. Not that much fun. We MUST go skiing soon. :)) In the meantime, of course, we have been busy. I would go to sleep leaving this: and wake up in the morning to this: Since I just read the following confessions on Single Dad Laughing: " I understand why some animals eat their young... Ugh. This day." and " I gave birth to walking attitudes and not children and tonight they are lucky it's almost bedtime" , I am staring to assume holidays can be stressful for everyone. And created a short tutorial as a part of the oh-so-necessary survival guide that I might put together one day, once I'm sure I survived. Here it is, the project for this week and the last for this year, how to make a sleeping mask:

Yup. It's cold. Christmas markets are open, punch is all around. And no snow. So after our holiday cards fiasco (glitter glue doesn't work on glossy paper, just so you know), we decided to start a snowman project. Without snow, obviously. :) And that taught us a few lessons: 1. One stapler is not enough when you have two kids 2. You cannot sit in a bowl of plastic cups 3. Youtube lies to you when they say you can staple a snowman's head Anyway, we had fun. Here's N excited about the snowman progress: And here's K trying to steal its nose: Does it show that it takes some time to make one? :))) But now he's proudly sitting on our terrace: No tutorial for this one, but it's very popular, so I'm sure you'll find at least 10 versions online. I was actually writing to tell you that your favourite essential oil might not work for your sugar scrub. I love lemongrass, for example, but it's really not cool once I try to wash my face with it. And the lavender that I truly dislike works so good with vanilla for your feet scrub. In case you are wondering what has sugar scrub to do with the snow, well, it doesn't. But you can get the recipe here: Meanwhile, I wish you snowy holidays, unless it's summer where you are. :)
I know I should be working on the website, and filling out these "coming soon" pages, but Christmas activities are piling up and I just have to share some. Before it's actually Christmas and I devote myself to fruit cakes, glazed ham and recycling of wrapping paper. So there it is, a very sparkly and fun project that comes in handy on a cold wet day:
New day, new challenges. K got fever after eating a huge amount of raw cookie dough, and I would have to work on all those "coming soon" items another day. But since it's Thursday and a promise is a promise, a very Christmas-y project for you: a gingerbread house. And hey, don't eat that dough raw!
:) For all of you who didn't get the above, a long story. I have a passion for crafting that is somehow combined with what my friends call an OCD case. And I think Wednesday is a great day to start things, since it's in the middle of the week. So I decided to start this little site to organise myself and give you ideas for the spare time that I'm sure you don't have. And to promise to post a new project every week. Now that all the announcements are out of the way, here my actual blog post: Bamboochaa! My first day back to work (does it show?) after a week of being sick at home and wrapping Christmas presents and a week of being sick of wrapping Christmas presents. I have chocolates, and Isla moos, and my Lammily arrived, and some materials for my projects that I can't wait to use. I'm humming under my nose a combined version of Let it Snow, Let it Go and Do You Want to Build a Snowman. My life looks great. And then, panic happens. You know, there is always something to panic about. Like, the left bottom drawer is not organised, I don't have the day-by-day menu for the 2 weeks of holidays and I don't have time to buy toothpaste. And to write my Chinese homework, do my photography portfolio, pick photos to be printed for this year's album and some for an exhibition. Or call people that I haven't seen a while. Wait, wait. This is starting to look like a list of things I don't want to write and you don't want to read. And everyone around seems to be panicking about the same random and quite stupid stuff. So, have a breather and enjoy a photo of a panic-free professional: and have a great day!
