Felt Peacock

An order! I know, I don't ever take orders, but this idea was so sweet and the person who ordered it was too special to pass. It only takes an hour or two (two nights if you have children around). I used the tutorial/free printable template from Imagine our Life here:

Since it's not for a baby, I used the hot glue gun for the feathers, instead of sewing them on. It's stiffer, but it's prettier and significantly faster. Here some photos from the process:

Cutting out the felt shapes and layering them on.

And then, selecting some pretty ribbons.

Stitch it all together, stuff (don't forget the rattle) and voilá! Front and back views:
