Paper Star Lantern
You will need:
1. Light cardboard or thick paper
2. Hot glue
3. Stapler
4. pdf pattern, I downloaded mine from Papelisimo
5. Paint, glitter, anything you would want to put on your star (optional)
6. Lights (optional)
7. Small piece of thread
Cut five template pieces and make the folds.

Cut five template pieces and make the folds.
I didn't use the template's cutouts, since the kids insisted on their own design. Featuring here: hearts and stars.
Paint your star pieces (optional) and let dry overnight.
Fold each pattern piece and glue to close.
Attach each piece to the next one as shown. First glue, then staple for reinforcement.
When you get to the last two pieces, you can glue them, if you are not going to put lights in, but just use for decoration. Even then, I would still recommend to keep the last ones open and close with a thread, since the star will be easy to fold and store later.
Put light source in (I used Christmas lights) and close with a thread as shown.
And there you go, your own personal star light! Enjoy!
