DIY BODY SPRAY
One fine day TO got really attached to a mint body spray. So attached she carried a small bottle in her purse. And then, another fine day she looked at the contents of it to see what she was spraying herself with. And learned a lot really fast. Yikes!
To spare you the yikes experience, a simple DIY body spray idea.

To spare you the yikes experience, a simple DIY body spray idea.
You will need:
1. Essential oil(s) of your choice;
2. Glycerine;
3. Distilled water;
4. A dark (preferably glass) container and
5. Alcohol. Now, I learned a lot about the different types of alcohol. Somehow I thought alcohol was just ethyl alcohol, and that was about it. In my country we don't really use rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol at home, so I took it for granted alcohol was non-toxic and didn't have an after-smell. Well, I was wrong. So for this recipe I am using just some cheap vodka from the supermarket. To be on the safe side.:)

I was aiming for a peppermint body spray, but if you would like to mix things, and/or make a perfume, you can use this guide to know what goes well together, or one of the sites for custom-made perfume that actually have scent-generators that are quite useful.
How you do it:
Mix one tablespoon glycerine with one tablespoon vodka, add about 20 drops essential oils in a glass jar (preferably a dark one, if not, keep in a dark place). Shake well. If you have several different oils, leave at least 24 hours for the aroma to develop. If not, you can already add two tablespoons distilled water. Shake some more.

If you are aiming for a perfume, you'll have to skip the water, and add some more essential oils. And read a bit about top and base notes... Otherwise your body spray is ready. Just transfer to a small bottle and enjoy!
