DIY Tic Tac Toe Toilet Paper Holder
For your precious stash (Covid-19 joke, hopefully we don't understand it a few years from now). And for your precious bathroom. Ready to try your woodworking skills?
You will need:
1. 2 wooden planks, between 10 and 12 cm wide, 3 m tall, and 1.9 cm thick;
2. Wood stain and or spray paint;
3. A saw and sanding machine, to cut and sand your planks; wood glue if you, like me, are not great at sawing; pencil and ruler to mark where you need to cut;
4. Toilet paper ;).
Start by cutting the wood into 8 56-cm pieces and 6 16,1-cm pieces. I actually asked the shop where I bought the planks to do that, most warehouses will do it for free. Then, mark your additional cuts as per the plan below. To make it easy - you will have to mark at 3,2 - 5,1 - 19,1 - 21 - 35 - 36.9 - 50.9 - 52.8 cm the big plank and at 7,1 - 9 the small one.

Now, you can do this two ways - cut each plank individually, or cut all together (equipment permitting). Our saw is a bit of a joke, so one by one it is.
You should have something like this:
Dry-fit to see if any adjustments are needed. Glue random edges you chopped off :D
Sand your cuts, you don't want splinter accidents.
Stain or spray-paint your pieces. I am using a different colour for the short pieces that are making my X-s, but it is up to you. If you are using stain, remember to remove your pencil marks first -they will show otherwise.
After your paint/stain is dry, put your holder together.
There you have it - your own, personal piece of toilet art. Enjoy!
