Sock Bunny
Because, a sock monkey is not enough to celebrate spring (read: kids are ready for Easter egg hunt). For this easy little fella you will need:
1. A sock (or, in my case, one leg of K's broken stockings);
2. Polyfill;
3. Embroidery floss for the nose;
4. Beads for eyes (optional, you can embroider eyes if giving this to a younger child);
5. Yarn or ready pom pom for a tail;
6. A pretty ribbon (optional);
7. Little pebbles/ beads/ beans/ rice/ other weight in case you want the bunny to sit (optional).

Start by flattening out and cutting the sock/stocking leg into a little bunny shape:
Turn inside out and sew together.
Turn right side out and stuff with polyfill. If you want a bunny with droopy ears, leave the part where they connect to the body mostly empty.
(optional) Before you close, put your weights. If you are using rice or something small, it would be better to put it in a separate baggie before stuffing it in the rabbit. Also, bear in mind how transparent your sock is, in case your weights are a dark colour.
Stitch the bottom together.
Now, use a running stitch to form a neck.
Make a little pom pom for tail and two little paws (yes, I know rabbits have four of those, but my design assumes the bunny is sitting on top of two. Feel free to add two more).
Add beads/ embroider the eyes.
Embroider a little nose, tie a ribbon around its neck and there you have it - a sweet sock bunny.
Have fun creating!
