Vienna photo marathon 2013
My first participation in a photo marathon. Had such great fun! Ran around, arranged unruly vegetables, chatted with bike store owners, drew on the windows, cut rainy photos and stood over oil in water, took the kids to the park (and forgot my camera battery at home in the charger), crashed a fashion show and cut my toe and sock while trying to take a selfie. Got invited to the Winners Ceremony and had frankfurters and sweets to go with my 16th place in the half marathon. Pretty neat...
So, the rules are simple. You get 24 topics at 9 AM, you have to give back to them 25 (24 topics and your starting number) by 9 PM. Or, you can participate in the half marathon with 12 topics, which is what I did in this memorable year. There's a catch, of course: you can only use 1 camera, only the memory card the organisers gave you, you cannot alter or even view the photos on any external device, and, of course, you can only take the photos in the order of the topics given. It's all in German, and official English translation is not quite correct. And the biggest catch: you get bonus points if all your photos are connected somehow (ok, that rule I didn't know until a year later). So here goes:
