miniature hinge
You finally have time for your dollhouse project, but all of a sudden you need hinges and all shops are closed? I got your back covered. It only takes 5 minutes and any empty can lying around in your recycle bin.
You will need:
1. Tin can
2. A pin (best if you have jewellery making pins)
3. Tiny little bit of glue (preferably, super glue)
4. Small pliers
You will need:

Cut a small square out of the tin can. You decide how small- this would be the size of your hinge.
Divide in three equal parts and draw as shown below.
Cut along the line.
You should get something like this:
The idea is to attach the two halves to the pin.
Roll the part sticking out, attaching it to the pin with the pliers.
As I figured out later, it's best to start with the half piece that has two parts sticking out. Never mind.
Attach the second half the same way you attached the first.
You should already have your basic hinge. If you need holes on it, you can make them now. I am planning to glue mine. Cut off the excess pin sticking out.
Put a little bit of glue at the cut end, so your pin doesn't slip out.
And there you go, you have a hinge! Now go make those kitchen cupboards you wanted.
Happy crafting!
