little red riding hood cape
Essetials, essentials. A cape is always needed, it seems. A red cape, even more so. You could be Little Red Riding Hood, Superman, a musketeer... Here an idea how to make it.
You will need:
1. Red fabric (mine did not need lining)
2. A satin bow
3. Sewing supplies
As usual, I did not use patterns, since the cape is a basic circular skirt with a hood attached. Here some drawings that might be of help (hood enlarged for you to see the detail):

I found this great video tutorial on how to cut your fabric in a circle, very helpful to show you where to start:
Once you have the circle, cut the two pieces for the hood, sew together the top part, the attach the bottom to the cape. I covered the seams where I attached the hood to the cape with a long satin bow, and let enough bow in the front so it could be tied:
