Little Red Riding Hood Party
It always starts with a simple idea. For me, since I am a very visual person, this party started from a cake photo on google images. I saw it more than a year before the actual event, but it had me from hello. I HAD to organise a Little Red Riding Hood party for K's birthday. And I did.
Wheeere shall we start. The cape, but of course. The cape was first, and then... Ok, one by one, let me show you the cape:

And then I realised K does not have a dress to match the cape. Nor did the shop we went to offer any red dresses, other than with Minnie Mouse. Had to make the dress, too:
Then, some decoration. I decided to have polka dots and stripes, and made some garlands to tie things together:
The table, featuring the cupcake stand, the cake pop stand, stripes, polka dots and some really pretty free printables:
Most photos link to the project tutorials, feel free to click on them if you get excited. :) Here some links for the printables:
Then, of course, the cake! In the end, I decided to make a different cake than the one that inspired me, and I couldn't finish its decoration, but it was nice like that too:
A little background on how I made the figurine, starting from the play-doh prototype, to the ready Little Red Riding Hood from modeling chocolate.
I made matching biscuits as party favours for the kids. Got to love modeling chocolate!
I put the biscuits in paper baskets with polka dot napkins, but they didn't stay there very long.
Then, the activity part. I really wanted to make a wolf piñata, but the kids are a little too young to be given sticks. So, we skipped the agressive moment and had some fun props for a Little Red Riding Hood photoshoot.
Kids had fun, parents had fun, and we lived happily ever after. :)
