Like the time when I was sooo excited to make this mosaic bowl. And then kind of used glue instead of grout. Needless to say, it didn't work. Oh well, at least I have an eye for a good photo angle :)
TO is moving houses, and packing the last 10 years in boxes of all sizes and shapes. And I keep discovering what not - soo many projects that I have completely forgotten about (and for the better, when I think about it). So many unfinished ideas - here half a crocheted doll, there the pieces for a sock dragon, and a 1/3-sewn Easter rabbit. But also a lot of reminders of all those times things didn't go as planned. I can open my own "Nailed it" Pinterest board. And while I don't keep photographic evidence of all my mishaps, I can probably start a list. Like the time when I was sooo excited to make this mosaic bowl. And then kind of used glue instead of grout. Needless to say, it didn't work. Oh well, at least I have an eye for a good photo angle :) Or the time when I tried to go to a party with this great 3D paper mask. Yeah, right. This is how far I got with that one. While we are on paper topic, I do recall my super-optimistic idea one winter to have snow globe Christmas cards. Did not happen. I do keep the templates, though, if you ever want to try - I cut transparent globe parts for the outside, it really really didn't work. Maybe you should follow the directions and use cardboard ;). Tutorial here. My Alphabet flashcards idea! Destroyed by my kids at idea stage, before I could even design the cards. When I DID have a fun drawing of a frog on a giraffe. One day, one day... Every single time I've worked with clay. Every. Single. Time. And the time when I tried to bake macarons on parchment paper. And the other time when I really wanted to make Hello Kitty macarons. And when I tried to prepare gummy bears with pineapple juice. Or when I tried to sew my own wedding dress (ha ha!). Oh, here it is, the time when I put autumn leaves in between sheets of contact foil to make a table runner. And because they couldn't dry in there, they started rotting inside... Fun times. Then, of course, my melt-a-plastic-bottle experiments. Not quite sure why I even did that. And before I get you tired with my list of genius and not so genius flops, I might as well stop myself and go back to packing. My photo blog provides for some more pleasant views. :)
